Dholuwuy campground is closed to 31 July 2020

Traditional Owners and the Baniyala Community Safety Committee have made this decision because some recent campers have shown complete disrespect and disregard towards restrictions to alcohol consumption, hunting without permission, and access to sacred areas.

All bookings for July will be refunded. No new bookings will be accepted until 1 August 2020.

The campground operates under the direction of local Traditional Owners on the premise that people respect the land and rules around bookings, permits, hunting, alcohol consumption, trespassing, etc.

While closed, Baniyala Garrangali Aboriginal Corporation will work with Traditional Owners, Rangers and Police to provide more information to our customers/visitors on appropriate behaviour, locations that are safe to access around the campground, and increased patrols.
